On Muneer’s statement with regard to Kunhalikutty, Chennithala said this should be asked to Muneer.Ramesh Chennithala said he did not consider the employees of the US consulates as spies. The KPCC president added that the Wikileaks episode had exposed the true face of the CPM. “It has been proved that the CPM’s anti-US stance was only for public consumption”, he said.Ice Cream Parlour Issue Ramesh Chennithala said that Opposition leader V S Achuthanandan was indulging in a witch hunt in the ice cream parlour case against Kunhalikutty. “Achuthanandan was behaving like a litigant in the case. Kunhalikutty’s name was cleared by the Supreme Court. Achuthanandan was the Chief Minister of the state for the last five years and he was in power even after Rauf’s revelations”, he said.Chennithala refused to disclose the action which would be taken against the Congressmen involved in the Kannur incident “Indiscipline in the party will not be tolerated. The KPCC has taken the issue seriously and will take action against the guilty,” he said.
