Greater Noida: World Champion Sebastian Vettel feels racing at the Buddh International Circuit is a "great challenge" and says he would be proud to win the inaugural Indian Grand Prix from pole position.
The German has also cautioned all the drivers saying an error on the dusty track could cost them dear.
Vettel, who stormed to his 13th pole of the season here on Saturday, said the track has improved since Friday but overtaking during the race could be tricky.
"We have seen all weekend with the dust on the track so we have ended up with just one racing line clear of dirt and if you run a little out of that, the car will slip and you are going to lose a lot of time," said Vettel in the post-qualifying press conference.
Some cars get lapped in every race and Vettel feels the faster ones will have to be very careful.
"We all want to race and both the drivers who are in front of the field and the ones who get lapped want to be on the racing line. Off-line is quite dusty and depending on where you go off-line to lap someone or to make a pass will be critical for the next couple of corners," said Vettel, who is aiming for his 11th win of the season.
Vettel predicted that the track will be very slippery at the start of the race but the grip levels will improve during the 60-lap race.
"To be honest, once the dust goes off the asphalt, the surface becomes very grippy and the cars stick to the ground. The organisers have done a great job. It was not an easy project."
On what a win here would mean to him, Vettel said: "Before going into this weekend, I was asked about my motivation to win the race, things like why I am here. We are having this Grand Prix in India for the first time and every one of us (team) would be extremely happy and proud to win the race on Sunday. It would mean a lot to me."
