A woman has been arrested for allegedly sending threatening SMSs to several IPS officers including the Director-General of Police in Rajasthan, demanding release of Indian Mujahideen terrorists, apparently to avenge her dismissal from a private company.
The accused, Pinki Jangid who hails from Chomu, had sent threatening SMSs to over two dozen senior IPS officers using a SIM which she had purchased by submitting false papers in the name of a businessman, Mohammed Arif Khan, from whose company she was sacked recently, Additional DG-Intelligence UR Sahu said.
In the threatening SMSs she was demanding the release of IM terrorists, including Yasin Bhatkal, Sahu said. To avenge her dismissal from the company where she was working as an accountant, she also made fake Facebook accounts of some women workers and used their names in the SMSs sent to IPS officers, the ADG-intelligence said.
