HYDERABAD: A 42-year-old person was allegedly killed by his wife and her brother late on Wednesday night. The woman and her brother are said to have committed the murder unable to bear the latter’s harassment.The duo were caught by police while trying to shift the victim’s body.The victim, Dayanand Goud was a security guard in Krishnakanth park and residing in BK Guda under SR Nagar police limits.Dayanand was married to Lalitha, who is working as an attender in the tribal welfare department of Rangareddy district.SR Nagar police inspector P Krishna Murthy said Dayanand used to harass his wife for money for his drinking.On Wednesday too, Dayanand came home in an inebriated condition and asked money from his wife.“Lalitha’s brother, Raju was also present when Dayanand started to harass his wife for money.The brother and sister attacked Dayanand and strangled him to death,’’ police said.The victim was also beaten on his private parts, police said.After killing Dayanand, the duo reportedly called up their friend, Gopal and asked him to come to their house claiming that Dayanand was suffering with ill-health.“While Raju and Lalitha were shifting Dayanand’s body to a nearby locality around 5.30 a.m on Thursday, a police patrol team noticed them and caught them.As the duo did not give any convincing answer, they were picked up and it was found the victim was dead by then,’’ police said.Meanwhile, police are suspecting the involvement of Gopal behind the murder.It is suspected that Dayanand used to quarrel with his wife over her relation with Gopal
