MADURAI: The Madurai High Court Bench has disposed of a writ petition filed by a man, who approached the court to remove his daughter-in-law’s corpse buried inside his house.Recording the submissions made by the Nagercoil Collector, who filed a report on how the corpse was removed after the intervention of a peace committee on February 25, Justice Dhanapalan disposed of the plea. In January 2012, V Rabhel of Nagercoil moved the court alleging that his daughter-in-law Kavitha’s body was buried in the living room of his house by Kavitha’s family. Kavitha was married to Rabhel’s eldest son Jose. She was reportedly murdered by Jose’s brother Sasikumar alias Sasi. Irked, Kavitha’s father P Thankanadar and her family members buried her body inside Rabhel’s house.  Meanwhile, Thankanadar filed an affidavit on March 6 claiming that no peace meeting was held prior to the removal of the corpse. The officials forcibly removed the body, he alleged and sought action against the Collector, the SP, RDO and the Inspector.
