BANGALORE: The Subramanyapura police have cracked the murder case of a woman and have arrested a person in connection with the incident. Gold ornaments worth Rs 2.4 lakh that the accused had stolen from the victim have been recovered.
The accused has been identified as Muni Channareddy alias Pilla Reddy (50), a resident of Vanakanahalli of Anekal taluk in Bangalore rural district. He is accused of murdering Rajamma (48), a resident of Royal Lake Layout near Jambusavari Dinne, that was reported on May 27 earlier this year.According to the police, Pilla Reddy knew the victim and used to visit her often. He had noticed that she was wearing jewels and hatched a plot to steal them.
