New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi fever has gripped the nation once again on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan. From Uttar Pradesh to Rajasthan, Modi rakhis have been a rage this festival.

In the Pink City, rakhis with Modi's image on it were flying off the shelves. Women said that rakhis carry the promise of 'acche din'.

Mona, a resident of Jaipur, said, "We hope Modi controls price rise and brings good days for all of us."

Rajesh, a shopkeeper, said, "Women are buying this so that Modi takes care of price rise and they can celebrate the festival well."

Those in Uttar Pradesh are celebrating rakhi, a festival that marks a brothers promise to keep his sister safe, in a unique way. Muslim women from Amroha district have sent a 10-meter long rakhi to Modi. In a state that is becoming notorious for its law and order situation, they said that they want Modi to put an end to crime against women.

Shabi Jehra, a resident of Amroha, said, "Modi is like a brother to us and we hope he takes care of our district."

Another resident Momraj Singh said, "The women gave me a 10-metre long rakhi and I will deliver it to Modi."

This Raksha Bandhan, Modi will also receive rakhis from Muslim women from his constituency of Varanasi. Women have the same demand to make the state safe for women.

Nazma Parveen, a resident of Varanasi, said, "I am sending this rakhi to Modi and I hope he takes care of our safety, education and employment."
