CHENNAI: The Tamil Nadu Electricity Board (TNEB) has deputed more personnel from other districts to the Thane-hit Cuddalore district to complete the repair work to restore power supply in all areas.Apart from the 1,000 workmen who have been deployed in the first phase on Dec 31, an additional workforce of 1,400 people is being deployed to carry out the works on a war footing in the affected areas, a TNEB release here said.Materials available in other districts have been diverted to the district and emergency procurement plan has also been made to manage the additional material requirement, including sourcing from other States, the release added. The release added that more efforts would be made to complete restoration works in municipalities and in town panchayats in Cuddalore district, ahead of Pongal.
