HYDERABAD: A degree student took his life by jumping before a running train in Mahaboobnagar town on Sunday reportedly due to pressure from financiers to repay a loan. The student took the loan for purchase of a bike by his friend who fled recently. The deceased, S Nagarjuna (22) was a resident of Koilkuntla crossroads in Mahaboobnagar. He was a final year BSc student and aspiring for the post of a constable.According to Mahaboobnagar railway police sub-inspector Hanumappa, Nagarjuna took a loan on his name for his friend who purchased an Apache bike costing Rs 80,000."Nagarjuna's friend paid nearly Rs 30,000 in instalments but eloped with a girl after he fell in love. He had out of town since the past couple of months,'' Hanumappa said.As the loan was taken by Nagarjuna on his name, the financiers started demanding him the money. Nagarjuna could reportedly only pay the instalment for a month. On Sunday morning, Nagarjuna told his family members he was going for a morning walk."He straightaway went to the railway tracks and lay down on the tracks to end his life,'' Hanumappa said. With the help of identity cards and other belongings, he was identified and his body handed over to his parents after a post-mortem.
