BANGALORE: Listening music on mobile phone proved costly for Pushpak (18), a first year BCA student, as he was killed after being hit by a moving train at railway track near Kengeri on Saturday around 9.45 am.Pushpak was a student of Surana College and a resident of Kengeri Satellite Town. The police said that Pushpak was walking towards his grandmother’s house in Kengeri when the Mysore-Bangalore passenger train train knocked him down and he died on the spot. A case has been registered in City Railway police station. Tipper crushes man to deathSubbarao (58), a native of Shimoga, was killed after being run over by a tipper near an underpass in Yelahanka on Friday around 7.30 pm. The deceased was a resident of Jakkur Layout and was working at a garment factory.The police said that he was returning home on his bicycle from Yalahanka after work and a tipper hit his cycle from behind, crushing him to death. SI SuspendedPolice Sub-Inspector of Bangalore International Airport station Khalandar has been suspended on charges of dereliction of duty. DCP of the North East division B R Ravikanthe Gowda ordered his suspension on Saturday after the SI’s negligence was found prime facie in a few cases. It is said that Khalandar had helped a businessman in misusing passport.
