Mumbai: Bollywood actor Zayed Khan was hardly the perfect husband in his recent release Shaadi No. 1 but he is confident that he'll make an ideal life partner. Zayed will tie the knot with his girlfriend Malaika Parekh on Sunday in Mumbai.

It's been a busy week for the Khan family who have been celebrating in style over the last few days.

From the rockstar-themed youngster's party at the J W Marriott Hotel to a sangeet ceremony where Zayed's family and friends performed a skit for the groom-to-be, it's been parties all week long.

The nikaah ceremony will take place on Sunday at the Grand Hyatt, followed by a reception and dinner for a gathering that will include the bigwigs of Bollywood.

The bride, the groom and close family members were dressed for most ceremonies by designer Anna Singh who has known the Khans for years.

In between preparations for the wedding, Zayed made time this week to squeeze in a handful of social events.

On Tuesday night he showed up at the launch of a new health channel, on Wednesday at the premiere of his uncle Akbar Khan's new film Taj Mahal and on Thursday at the premiere of cousin Fardeen Khan's latest picture Ek Khiladi Ek Hasina.

Zayed cannot contain his excitement as he says that the month has been very lucky for him. His film Shaadi No. 1 is getting a good response from the masses and his wedding is also round the corner.

"Sometimes I feel I shouldn't show the excitement. I'll jinx it. And I don't want to do that," Zayed said.

Professionally it's been a mixed year for Zayed who scored a big hit in Dus, but also delivered duds like Vaada and Shabd.

The focus right now, however, is on his new role?unarguably the most challenging role of his life.

What's your reaction?
