Kannada actor Prashanth has won adulation from the audience for his acting skills in the 2007 film Orata I Love You, written and directed by Shree. He even popularly came to be known as Orata Prashanth by the fans. Prashanth, however, failed to make any significant breakthroughs in the films and remained away from the limelight for many years. Now, he is all set to make his comeback with the gangster drama film Rosy starring Srinagara Kitty and Sandy Kumar as the lead.
Prashanth will play the role of a character named Swami Anna in the film. The actor has uploaded a photo of his character on Instagram. He looks every bit ferocious in his dishevelled salt and pepper hair, black outfit and colour-coordinated sunglasses. He is also seen smoking and holding the leash of his dog. Prashanth looks spectacular as a gangster but he has still not revealed the details of his character.

In an interview with a portal earlier, Prashanth talked about why he hadn’t acted in any films for a long time. The Orata I Love You actor said that he had been looking for good film opportunities for a long time but couldn’t find any such offer. It was then he came across the director Shoonya who narrated to him the story of Orata I Love You. Prashanth liked the character that Shoonya wanted him to play and gave his go-ahead to the film.
Music composer Gurukiran has been roped in to compose the music for the film Rosy. At an event of this film, Gurukiran said, “I haven’t been accepting new projects recently. The film I agreed to work on after the pandemic is Roji. It’s been twenty-five years since I entered the film industry, and I’m delighted that my song Karimani Maalika is currently trending.”
Apart from composing music, Gurukiran’s creative abilities extend to acting as well and he has also acted in supporting roles in several films. He has also rendered his vocals to various songs. Additionally, Gurukiran has also composed music for Tamil, Telugu and Tulu films.
