Alia Bhatt Gifts Her Self-Published Book To Sania Mirza's Son Izhaan, Pens A Letter: 'Be Kind To Every...'

Alia Bhatt has embarked on a new journey as a storyteller by launching her first children’s picture book. She revealed that she is working on an entire series of books. Earlier last month, under her kids’ wear brand Ed-a-Mamma, Alia introduced the first book in the series, titled Ed Finds A Home. Now, the actress has gifted the book to Sania Mirza’s son Izhaan and also penned a letter to him.

The letter read, “Dear Izhaan, I want you to meet Ed-a-Mamma – a little girl and her dog, off on a bunch of super exciting adventures. Just like you, they are Children of Mother Earth and are on a mission to protect her from harm. When I was growing up, I loved listening to my grandpa’s stories.”

She added, “And now here I am, sharing stories of my own, for all mini-planeteers.

I hope that this first story brings you as much joy as it has brought me and inspires you to be kind to every kind. Let the Ed-ventures begin! Love, Alia.”

Sania Mirza gave a glimpse of the letter on her Instagram story.

Earlier Alia opened up about the book and shared, “A new adventure begins (sun emoji) Ed finds a Home is just the beginning of a new series of books from the universe of Ed-a-mamma. My childhood was full of storytelling and storytellers .. and one day I had a dream to bring out that child in me and put it into books for children.. I am so grateful to my fellow storytellers, Vivek Kamath, @shabnamminwalla and @tanvibhat.draws, who with their wonderful ideas, inputs and imagination helped bring our first book to life. Fingers crossed for this journey ahead.”

She launched the book at the Storyverse – Children’s Lit Fest in Mumbai on Sunday. Alia was accompanied by her mother Soni Razdan and sister Shaheen Bhatt at the event. Alia looked radiant in a sleeveless floral-printed maxi dress. During the event, she participated in a reading session where excerpts from the book were read by Soni Razdan, Shaheen Bhatt and Alia herself. After the reading, Alia interacted with young fans and gathered their feedback. A viral video from the event shows Alia introducing the book’s main characters to the audience.
