Amitabh Bachchan Opens Up About His 51 Years Marriage With Jaya Bachchan: 'Progress Reports...'
Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan completed 51 years of marriage earlier this week.

Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan thanked fans for their love and wishes on his and Jaya Bachchan’s 51st wedding anniversary. The couple tied the knot in June 3, 1973. Taking to his blog, he wrote, “In my most humbling self may I give my love and affection to all that have wished Jaya and Me on our Wedding Anniversary June 3, 2024.”

Speaking about his children, Shweta Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan, Amitabh called them the couple’s glorious progress report. He wrote, “51 years of togetherness , 2 progress reports -Shweta & Abhishek and the love and care of all .. My eternal gratitude.”

A fan in New York put together a grand gathering and revisited Amitabh and Jaya’s love story. The video also featured photos of their lives with their children Abhishek Bachchan and Shweta Nanda. The presentation included some old childhood photos of the Bachchan siblings. Lastly, it paid tribute to their family heritage through pictures with their grandchildren, Aaradhya Bachchan, Agastya Nanda and Navya Naveli Nanda.

Interestingly, Sunil Shah, the fan behind this initiative, also commented, “It’s been so many years of being the biggest fan of you sir. You’re the biggest icon of the country for everyone and especially for me. I will continue to make you simple and thank you for doing this amazing gesture for me by posting. This means the world to me. Thank you for all the love.”

Addressing the same, Big B wrote, “I want to thank Sunil Shah Ef, from Surat, for his wishes .. he went to New York and put up a video wishing us at Times Square .. so grateful .. He has sent T Shirts as well , which I shall distribute this Sunday.”

Jaya and Amitabh Bachchan tied the knot on June 3, 1973. They have appeared together in several films, including Guddi, Ek Nazar, Bawarchi, Sholay, Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, Abhimaan and Chupke Chupke, among others.
