Amitabh Bachchan confessed his grandchildren poked fun at Kalki 2898 AD after he shared his opinion about a sci-fi film he was watching with them. During a recent episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati, Big B opened up about his grandchildren. The veteran actor has three grandchildren, Navya Naveli Nanda, Agastya Nanda and Aaradhya Bachchan. Amitabh did not mention which of the grandkids he was watching the film with.
During the episode, Amitabh was talking to contestant Trishul Singh Choudhary when he shared that he was watching a Hollywood sci-fi film with the kids and admitted he didn’t understand the film. In return, his grandchildren teased, “Even we didn’t understand Kalki.” This resulted in a massive laugh in the room.
For the unversed, Amitabh played the role of Ashwatthama in Kalki 2898 AD. Big B shared the screen with Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, and Kamal Haasan in the Nag Ashwin directorial. The Nag Ashwin directorial is one of the biggest blockbusters of the year.
Previously, Amitabh revealed he was surprised with Nag Ashwin’s vision for the film and him. At a recent press conference for the film’s promotion, Amitabh confessed he was taken aback with the concept of Kalki 2898 AD. “When Nag Ashwin came and explained his idea to me, for the long time after he left I was thinking, ‘what the hell is Nagi drinking?’” Amitabh said, leaving Rana and his other co-stars in splits.
“To see something like this which is absolutely outrageous, some of the visuals that you have seen are unbelievable. To have somebody conceive a project which is so futuristic and possible… and during the making of the film you realise that no matter what he thought of he actually brought all the material, all the effects, every kind of vision that he had to the screen and that’s been really amazing. For me to be just a part of it, has been an experience I’ll never forget,” he added.
