Amitabh Bachchan To Build Mobile App For Global Fans To Witness Sunday Meet At Jalsa Virtually
Amitabh Bachchan has a ritual of greeting his fans outside Jalsa every Sunday.

It is tradition for veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan to greet crowds of fans outside his home, Jalsa, every Sunday. Fans from around the country visit Mumbai to get a glimpse of their favourite actor. Now, he has announced that a mobile application is in development which will enable his global fans to witness these Sunday meets virtually.

Amitabh Bachchan wrote in his blog, “Sunday specials were on and consumed with glee… and effort to be able to construct a platform, a mobile platform, so that the fans and well-wishers from across the location get an opportunity to see… to put wheels on it to move closer and roundabout to the well-wishers.”

He added that he had previously tried it but his initial attempt didn’t work. He said, “Tried, but it did not work… more effort to be put in, by the manufacturing department…!!”

Meanwhile, on the work front, Amitabh Bachchan is currently prepping for the release of Kalki 2898 AD. Amitabh Bachchan plays the role of Ashwatthama who will lock horns with Prabhas’ Bhairava in the film. At a recent press conference for the film’s promotion, Amitabh confessed he was taken aback by the concept of Kalki 2898 AD. “When Nag Ashwin came and explained his idea to me, for the long time after he left I was thinking, ‘What the hell is Nagi drinking?’” Amitabh said, leaving his co-stars in splits.

“To see something like this which is absolutely outrageous, some of the visuals that you have seen are unbelievable. To have somebody conceive a project which is so futuristic and possible… and during the making of the film you realise that no matter what he thought of he actually brought all the material, all the effects, every kind of vision that he had to the screen and that’s been really amazing. For me to be just a part of it, has been an experience I’ll never forget,” he added.

Kalki 2898 AD is set to release on June 27, 2024. Besides Prabhas and Amitabh Bachchan, the film will also feature Deepika Padukone, Kamal Haasan and Disha Patani in key roles.
