Atlee Kumar is a popular director in the Indian film industry. His film Jawan starring Shah Rukh Khan which was released last year recorded a worldwide box office collection of a staggering over Rs 1,000 crore. He has again made headlines after some reports stated that the director is set to work along with superstar Allu Arjun. However, it seems that the project may not take place due to remuneration issues with the director.
In a recent report by Telugu 360, Atlee asked for remuneration of Rs 80 crore for the film. This reportedly led the producers who were set to fund the film by Allu Arjun to back out from the project. As per the report, Atlee and Allu Arjun had held multiple meetings over time and narrated the basic plot of the film to the producers. However, due to the remuneration asked by the director, the producers have decided to take an exit.
The report further stated that Atlee is also in search of another lead actor for the film. Allu Arjun is yet to make his confirmation about the project as he is presently busy with his much-awaited upcoming film Pushpa 2: The Rule. Neither the actor nor the director has made any official comment regarding this development.
Presently, Allu Arjun is busy with his film Pushpa 2: The Rule which is set to hit the theatres on August 15. According to a report by News18 Telugu, the release of the film may get postponed. The shooting of the film is reportedly still in progress and there will not be much time for post-production and promotions which is why the release of the film may get delayed. However, the makers of the film have yet to make any statement regarding the development.
The film is the sequel to the 2021 film Pushpa: The Rise. Alongside Allu Arjun, the film also stars famous actors like Fahadh Faasil, Rashmika Mandanna and Prakash Raj.
