Ayushmann Khurrana, renowned for his acting and singing prowess, marks 12 successful years in Bollywood today. Riding high on the acclaim for his latest track ‘Akh Da Tara,’ Khurrana is honored with a special gesture from a dedicated fan named Aditi Dev. Dev has chosen to name a star after the talented actor!
Expressing his gratitude, Ayushmann remarked, “Aditi has been one of the first admirers of my work since the time Vicky Donor released and became a humongous success story for me. So, it is quite amazing that she decided to celebrate two big milestones of my career – my 12th anniversary in the Hindi film industry and my single ‘Akh Da Tara’s huge success by gifting me and immortalizing me as a star in the universe!”
He went on to say, “My admirers have been my biggest support system since the time I debuted as an actor-artiste in the industry and it is their love, their passion, and their prayers that have kept an underdog like me going even till today. I would be no one without the love of the people because I don’t come from the industry. So, every hit, every milestone has only added to me surviving and consolidating and cementing my position.”
Ayushmann reflected, “Whoever I am today, is because of them. I thank every person, in every corner of this world, for the unconditional support and strength. It is your love that keeps the fire in me burning!”
Ever since he made his debut with Vicky Donor, Ayushmann Khurrana has given some of the biggest hits and has also carved a niche for himself by picking unconventional and unique roles. The actor had only one release last year with Dream Girl-2 which went on to be a super hit at the box office. He has indeed cemented his reputation as a powerful performer, but the industry is not without competition.
In an exclusive interview with News18, the actor revealed how he remains unfazed by the constant pressure of proving himself and also revealed how he is happy when his contemporaries succeed, “I get inspired by my contemporaries. As long as the release dates of our films aren’t the same, there’s no competition (laughs). I consume their films as an audience member, who loves to get entertained and that’s about it. I’m happy for their success. I would pick up the phone with them if I liked their work. I loved Ranveer Singh’s performance in Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. He was phenomenal. I complimented him and Karan (Johar, the director). I loved that film. I think it’s a beautiful film.”
