Darshan Jariwala Accused of Impregnating Journo, His Lawyer Says He Can't Be Dad Due to Medical Issue

Gandhi, My Father and Saas Bina Sasural star Darshan Jariwala has been accused of impregnating a journalist. However, his lawyer has denied the claim and said that Darshan has a ‘medical issue’ that stops him from impregnating a woman. Darshan has been under the fire since December 2023. A journalist accused him of impregnating her and abandoning her thereafter. Darshan, who was the Vice President, General Secretary of the trust and an Executive Committee member of CINTAA, sparked a controversy following the claims and was forced to resign from his positions.

While the actor is yet to address the media directly, his lawyer, Saveena Bedi Sachar, issued a statement denying claims that he impregnated the journalist. Speaking with Times Now, Saveena said, “She (the journalist) has been using very defamatory words whenever she puts up her posts. Secondly, our claim is that a lot of Whatsapp messages which she has been putting up on Facebook and spreading to his friends as well as CINTAA members are false.”

“There are some texts in which he is seemingly seen making some offensive comments against his CINTAA colleagues as well as certain actors. Darshan says that they are not original messages. He has never sent them, they are fake. He has never chatted with her in that manner. Yet she is posting them and this is our basic grounds of filing a defamation case. We have already filed the suit,” Darshan’s lawyer added.

Addressing the impregnating claims, the lawyer said, “He cannot become a father. His own partner is finding it difficult to conceive. He and his partner have been trying to conceive so hard but they aren’t able to because of his medical problem. This lady says that she has suddenly got pregnant. Till date, I haven’t seen any particular report except some sonography. This may come up in the defamation hearing too. The number of weeks (of her pregnancy) and the scanned photo that she has sent basically doesn’t match. In medical terms, the sonography report is fake, it isn’t how it should look like. There are medical discrepancies here. The report should be on double screen but she has put it with a single screen. He anyway has medical issues so the child is not his.”

The journalist reacted the claims and said that she has the actor’s medical reports which disprove claims that he is medically unfit to be a father. Meanwhile, CINTAA’s General Secretary Amit Behl said they asked Darshan to step down after the journalist presented ‘proof’ which tarnished the organisation’s image.
