Grand preparations to honeymoon escape: Exclusive details about Shahid Kapoor-Mira Rajput's wedding revealed

New Delhi: The entire Bollywood is waiting for the most happening and secretive wedding of the year to happen. While Shahid and Mira's families are busy planning and arranging the auspicious ceremony, the to-be husband and wife are enjoying the time and going out on dates in order to know each other better. It is now a known fact that both the families are followers of a religious sect and thus follow a vegan diet. Hence, assumptions are being made that the food at the wedding will be strictly vegetarian.

The wedding ceremonies will begin from July 5 with Haldi followed by Mehendi on July 6 and finally the wedding day on July 7. All the ceremonies are expected to happen at The Oberoi, Gurgaon. While the staff of the hotel is tight-lipped about the wedding preparations, a source told IBNLive that the couple visited the hotel in order to check the preparations and finalise a few things.

Shahid and Mira visited Hotel Oberoi for a lunch date on June 15. The couple enjoyed the Hungarian Salad with other delicacies. It was on the same day that the couple finalized the venue for their wedding and booked it in advance. All the rooms have already been booked. In all probability the dine-in restaurants will also remain closed for visitors. Only Shahid and Mira’s guests will be allowed to attend the ceremonies.

This strictly private affair has also left media know more about the special someone in Shahid’s life. The 23-year old has recently graduated as a literature student from Lady Shri Ram College, Delhi University.

Mira’s friends describe her personality to be a striking and confident one on public front. The to-be bride is quite reserved and shy in her personal life and opens up only to her close friends. Mira, who participated in discussion forums at her college, is a perfect blend of brains and beauty. She had previously interned with the United Nations and there is a possibility of Mira continuing her studies after marriage.

The couple is currently busy with various pre-wedding functions and decorating their sea-facing bungalow in Mumbai. While the details of their honeymoon have not been disclosed, there is a possibility that they would head to Europe.
