One of the most awaited films of the year Deadpool & Wolverine is just around the corner for release. In the Marvel Comics film, Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman will be reprising their beloved superhero roles of Deadpool and Wolverine. In India, the film will be released in English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. Recently, Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman had a promotional interview in which they spoke about their favourite Bollywood actors and how they want to visit India in future.
During the conversation, Hugh Jackman revealed that he is a massive cricket fan. He described his interest in cricket as “I’m obsessed”. The Wolverine star said that his favourite Indian cricketer at the moment is Rohit Sharma. Talking about Rohit Sharma’s performance at the T20 World Cup, he said, “Honestly, he was a beast.” He then went on to share his cricket knowledge and mentioned that test matches run for five days, which surprised his co-star Ryan Reynolds.
When asked who they would like to work with in Bollywood, Hugh Jackman said, “I’ve had a lot of conversations over the years with Shahrukh Khan, but you never know, one day!” Ryan Reynolds mentioned Ranveer Singh and said, “He is amazing and very funny, he has done the voice over for Deadpool.” He went on to praise Ranveer Singh’s fitness. He pointed to Hugh Jackman and said, “You think you are in shape, but this guy makes you look like a Crypt Keeper. He is amazing.”
Hugh Jackman gave a message to their fans saying, “To all the people in India, which is a lot of people, we love India. We really hope you love this movie.” Ryan Reynolds added that he wanted to have a premiere of Deadpool & Wolverine in India.
Ryan Reynolds also spoke about his wish of travelling to India and said, “When you go to India, you don’t just want to go for a day or a week. You would want to spend like three months.” Ryan Reynolds also had a laugh when the interviewers, Dhruv and Shyam, a duo that goes by the name Funcho, gave him a Reynolds company pen.
Hugh Jackman revealed, “I really want to go on a cricket tour.” He mentioned a cricket ground, whose name he could not recall, and said that the cricket ground has hotel-like rooms in the premises so when one opens the door, they can directly watch the game. He joked that if he wanted to get a reservation at the said hotel, he would just give Sachin Tendulkar’s name during the booking.
