The wait is over! We have received your votes and finalized the winners for this year's IBNLive Movie Awards. 2015 was an eventful year for both Indian and international cinema. If the year saw several Box Office hits, it also helped small budget independent films make their presence felt. From the hits to the misses, our readers tell us what will we remember the Indian showbiz industry for in 2015.
Looks like 2015 was the year of 'Dum Laga Ke Hiasha' actor Bhumi Pednekar. After winning Filmfare, the talented actress has been voted the Best Debut 2015 by IBNLive viewers as well! 'Dum Lagake Haisha' worked not just because of an amazing script but also because of the confident performance of its lead actress, Bhumi Pednekar. She has earned maximum (44.14%) votes. Well deserved Bhumi!
Harshali Malhotra (24.97%)
How can a 6 year old steal the limelight from a superstar like Salman Khan? But child star Harshali Malhotra did just that in Kabir Khan's 'Bajrangi Bhaijaan'. She had no dialogues but emoted only through her eyes and stole every one's heart with her innocence.
Vicky Kaushal (12.14%)
Apart from the fact that Vicky Kaushal is extremely good looking, the actor also has a very strong screen presence and in 'Masaan' his performance was hard to miss. From the mannerisms of a small town boy to a lover in pain, Kaushal got it right in every frame.
Shweta Tripathi (7.59%)
Whenever Shweta Tripathi comes on screen, she light it up. The actress, a known face in the ad world, made a super debut in 'Masaan'. Her role as Shalu, a brahmin girl in love with a lower caste boy, struck a chord with the audience.
Neeraj Ghaywan (4%)
Having assisted Anurag Kashyap in the past, director Neeraj Ghaywan learnt the craft well and on the job. Perhaps that's why his debut film 'Masaan' seemed surreal and flawless.
Manvir Singh (2.21%)
'Pyaar Ka Punchanma 2' was predictably fun. with outrageous dialogues and ample amount of female bashing. But the one who stood out the most was actor Manvir SIngh. You feel the most for his character Sunny in the film.
Athiya Shetty (2.07%)
Critics may have panned 'Hero' but Athiya Shetty's confident performance as Radha was lauded by one and all. We just hope she does better films in the near future.
Anushka Manchanda (1.38%)
Super sexy singer Anushka Manchanda played a troubled yet fun singer Mad in Pan Nalin's 'Angry Indian Goddesses' with absolute ease. So much so that her character seemed an extension of her real self.
Kanu Behl (1.24%)
Thank god that 'Titli' was passed by Censor board fir release. Because otherwise we would have been director Kanu Behl's brilliant piece of work.
Pavleen Singh (0.28%)
Model turned actress Pavleen Singh nailed Pam in 'Angry Indian Goddesses'. She played the typical Delhi upper middle class bored housewife with absolute ease. She was brash, pompous and really funny.
