Indian 2: Ram Charan, Rajinikanth Expected To Grace Audio Launch Of Kamal Haasan Starrer?
As per reports, Ram Charan and Rajinikanth might be attending Kamal Haasan's Indian 2 audio launch in June.

Kamal Haasan’s highly anticipated film, Indian 2, is set to be one of the biggest releases in 2024, with fans eagerly awaiting his return as Senapathy. The film is scheduled to premiere globally in June, and there are reports of an upcoming music launch event to be hosted soon, possibly graced by the stars Ram Charan and Rajinikanth.

The production team of Indian 2 is reportedly organizing the film’s audio launch in mid-May at the Nehru Stadium in Hyderabad, with expectations of appearances by Pan-Indian superstars Ram Charan and Rajinikanth. It’s also rumored that the first official single of the soundtrack will be released shortly, although no official statement has been made by the actors or producers.

Indian 2 serves as a sequel to the 1996 hit Indian, marking Kamal Haasan’s initial team-up with director Shankar. In the original film, Haasan portrayed dual roles of a father and his son, with the father character being a freedom fighter and vigilante combating corruption.

The sequel continues directly from the original narrative and features Kajal Aggarwal, Siddharth, Rakul Preet Singh, SJ Suryah, and Priya Bhavani Shankar in significant roles, alongside the last on-screen appearances of the late actors Nedumudi Venu, Vivek, and Manobala.

The anticipation of India 2 has increased further with the potential development of a third instalment in the Indian franchise. According to a report in the Times of India, director S Shankar has got footage of about 6 hours with him and it was decided on the editing table that the footage will be split into 2 films. These movies include Indian 2 and Indian 3. Another report, however, denied the speculations of Indian 3 and mentioned that the extra footage doesn’t mean that all can be put together to form a film.

Meanwhile, Ram Charan is preparing for his political drama, Game Changer, starring alongside Kiara Advani, S J Suryah, Nassar, and others. He is also involved in the sports drama tentatively called RC16 with Janhvi Kapoor and Dr Shivarajkumar, directed by Buchi Babu Sana, and another project called RC17 with director Sukumar following their successful collaboration on Rangasthalam.

On the other hand, Rajinikanth is looking forward to the release of Vettaiyan, directed by TJ Gnanavel of Jai Bhim fame, featuring Amitabh Bachchan, Fahadh Faasil, and Rana Daggubati, with a theatrical release planned for October. Additionally, Rajinikanth will star in Lokesh Kanagaraj’s next film, Coolie, and Nelson Dilipkumar’s Hukum, a sequel to the blockbuster Jailer.
