Some of Bollywood’s popular celebrities including Janhvi Kapoor and Arbaaz Khan are pushing back against the paparazzi who pap at their heels. A few days back, the actress warned a paparazzo against taking her photo from an inappropriate angle while she was making a promotional appearance in a red backless dress for her upcoming film Mr and Mrs Mahi. In a video, shared on social media, Janhvi can be heard sternly warning the photographer, saying, “Aap na galat galat angles mat liya kijiye please (Please don’t take photos from wrong angles).”
On Wednesday morning, Arbaaz got seemingly miffed after photographers tried to click the actor and his wife, Ssuhra Khan’s photo from behind. He asked them to stop and said, “Back shot kyu le rahe ho (Why are you taking back shot)?”
Singer Neha Bhasin also called out the paps for taking her back shots. In a video, shared by Filmygyan, Neha takes a jibe at the shutterbugs when they ask her to pose for a photo. “Lena toh aapne humesha peeche se hi hota hai (You always click from behind anyway),” a visibly unimpressed Neha says in the clip.
Last month, Bigg Boss 17 contestant Ayesha Khan slammed the paparazzi for clicking inappropriate pictures of her. Ayesha posted a long note on Instagram stories, questioning the ‘obnoxious’ behaviour of certain photographers.
Ayesha wrote on Instagram, “What are these angles? Where are you Zooming? Consent? What is wrong with some of the media houses? Can’t a woman dress the way she wants without having to fear ke pata nahi kaha kis angle see capture karlega koi? (god knows who would click at what angle) Absolutely obnoxious!”
She further wrote, “A woman is adjusting her dress before stepping out the car and you want to capture that exact moment and post, a woman is saying don’t capture me from the back. Tadaa! The caption for the next post. XYZ says peeche ka mat lena (don’t click from behind). Some of our media houses need to learn basic manners.”
