Jonny Lee Miller Recalls Daring Valentine's Day Date With Ex-Wife Angelina Jolie

Jonny Lee Miller has revealed a daring Valentine’s Day adventure with young Angelina Jolie that went beyond the usual flowers and chocolates. In the early days of their relationship, Jolie was already a prominent star and Miller was rising to fame after his role in Danny Boyle’s Trainspotting. The couple decided to go on a unique adventure. Instead of a romantic dinner, they opted for something more exciting, as they decided to go skydive. Recounting the memorable day on Johnny Vaughan’s Radio X drivetime show, Miller shared that Jolie somehow convinced him to travel to Hemet, in Los Angeles, for an unexpected and thrilling experience. Despite Miller not planning on repeating the parachute jumps, he remembered diving three times with his ex. The revelation came during a discussion on the radio show on the segment called, ‘Things You Do For Love.’

Miller recalled, “I jumped out of an airplane. Well it wasn’t my idea. I was dating a young lady called Angelina Jolie and she said ‘Let’s do something exciting this weekend. Why don’t we go to Hemet,’ which is outside LA, ‘and jump out of an airplane.’ I was like, ‘Yeah, sounds great.’ She was cool as a cucumber. Fearless.” When asked if he would do the adventure again, he added, “No. I mean we actually did it three times, we did this programme where you do a bit more technical stuff each jump and then we trained for a solo jump and then thank goodness it was too windy so we didn’t do the solo jump.”

Jonny Lee Miller’s revelation about his adventurous Valentine’s Day with Angelina Jolie sparked memories of the radio show’s host, Johnny Vaughan, who shared that the former couple had another wild hobby. The host specifically remembered a drinking session with Miller, where the actor showed his knife skills which he claimed he learned from Angelina.

The host shared, “I remember when we were in Costa Rica together. For some reason, the knife that cuts the cocktail things was left on the counter and you chucked the knife and I said to you, ‘I didn’t know, how come you throw knives,’ and you said, ‘No, me and Angelina, we were once in the hotel room and we just used to spend the evening just knife throwing together,’ and I was like, ‘What?’ and you go, ‘Yeah, we just used to shove the duvet in a cardboard box. Put the box down at the end of the room and just chuck knives.’ It was just me and the other lads, I remember we’re all nodding, like yeah, nice, cool, cool girl.”

Jonny Lee Miller and Angelina Jolie exchanged vows in 1996 and started their journey as a married couple. However, their union was short, as the couple decided to part ways just 18 months after marriage.
