Karan Singh Grover Reveals Bipasha Basu Doesn't Want To Work With Him Again: 'I Am Still A Pain'

Karan Singh Grover is currently basking in the success of Fighter. The aerial action thriller, released on January 25, is ruling at the box office. Karan Singh Grover, who essayed Squadron Leader Sartaj ‘Taj’ Gill from the Air Dragons unit, revealed in an interview that his actress wife Bipasha Basu has no interest in working with him again after the 2015 film Alone.

“She doesn’t want to work with me. She says, ‘I can’t handle you at work also.’ I don’t blame her, I am a lot to handle. I am very emotional and very moody and very everything that you don’t want me to be. She is like, ‘At work, I want to be at peace and concentrate on myself. If you’ll be there, I will keep focusing on you, I don’t want that. I need to do my own thing.’ She is not going to change her mind, I am still a pain,” Karan told Galatta India.

In the same interview, he mentioned how Bipasha encouraged him to shoot for Fighter. Karan said that he was apprehensive about the film since he had to leave Bipasha five days after the birth of their daughter. However, Bipasha pushed him to jump at the opportunity.

He said, “Not leaving the room when she is there to going to a different city, felt like a nightmare at that time. But the reason I was going was so special. I didn’t really have time to think as Bipasha kicked me in my face, she was like, ‘Go away.’”

He shared, “She had a cesarean, and it is very difficult to make sure that those stitches are in place, the way she has to move… we rehearsed everything. She is somebody who is prepared for everything, and knows everything about everything because she does the research and reads a lot.”

“Knowing that she will have to get up in a certain way, she has to roll on the bed and get up on the side, knowing all that, and to leave her and the baby, who was born with a slight… It was difficult. My sister-in-law came and stayed with them. Now, when she comes to meet Devi, we call her ‘Pehle papa’,” shared Karan.

Karan and Bipasha fell in love when they worked together on the 2015 film Alone. They tied the knot in 2016 and welcomed their first child in 2022.
