Manushi Chhillar, Varun Tej is gearing up for their next release Operation Valentine. The film is all set to release on March 1 and it marks Manushi’s debut in the Telugu industry. Ahead of its release, Manushi opened up about the slate of films that she’ll be part of in 2024. Additionally, Manushi also expressed her keenness to work in the South industry.
Speaking with Hindustan Times, Manushi shared, “I am very excited for 2024 because it’s starting with a February 16 release, and there are many more releases this year. I am more comfortable as an actor and I understand my profession a lot better. 2024 is a year of a lot of results. I am looking forward to everything that has to fruitify this year.”
Manushi also quipped about her Telugu debut, “I had a wonderful time working in the Telugu film industry. Each project of mine has been very different, whether it was Hindi or Telugu industry. Everyone works like a family. They are very accepting and accommodating and they understand the fact that you don’t speak the language,” she stated.
Manushi also added, “They are the masters of making non-Telugu speaking people speak the language in their film, this was the one thing they assured me of. It came as a challenge but everyone on the set was very supportive. I would love to do more films down South. They do have a different way of working but they make you feel home.”
Ahead of the release, the makers have released the second song Rab Hai Gawah. Last month, the first track ‘Vande Mataram’ was released which captured the essence of patriotism. The song opens with romantic scenes between them. Vande Mataram has been composed by Mickey J Meyer, with lyrics by Ramajogayya Sastry and vocals by Anurag Kulkarni in Telugu and Sukhwinder Singh in Hindi.
The film’s teaser was released on December 18, 2023. It is set in the backdrop of war, and is said to be a romantic-tragedy. Varun Tej is playing an officer from the Indian Air Force. According to the makers, the film is set to release on February 16, 2024. Operation Valentine is being directed by Shakti Pratap Singh Hada, and the cast includes Varun Tej and Manushi Chhillar. It is being produced by Sandeep Mudda and Nandkumar Abbineni, under the banner of Sony Pictures International Productions and God Bless Entertainment. The film marks Varun Tej’s debut in the Hindi film industry, while Manushi’s South Indian film industry debut.
Manushi was last seen in The Great Indian Family co starring Vicky Kaushal. The cast includes Manoj Pahwa, Kumud Mishra, Yashpal Sharma Sadiya Siddiqui, Alka Amin, Srishti Dixit, Vedant Sinha, Bhuvan Arora, Aasif Khan, Ashutosh Ujjwal and Bharati Perwani.
