Jeethu Joseph and Asif Ali are teaming up for the Malayalam film Level Cross after the theatrical success of Kooman. While Jeethu was the director in Kooman, he took up an acting role in Level Cross, which was directed by his own former associate Arfaz Ayub. The music for Level Cross is composed by Vishal Chandrasekhar, the music director of hit films like Seetharamam, Chitta and Uriyadi.
According to reports, Chennai headquartered Think Music has acquired the music rights of Level Cross for an unprecedented amount. Think Music has earlier presented the music for films like Cuckoo, The Legend, Kabali, Theri and the most recently successful Jigarthanda Double X.
Level Cross is produced by Ramesh P Pillai under the banner of Abhishek Films. This is also the first Malayalam film produced by Ramesh P Pillai. Abhishek Films is also producing Mohanlal-starrer Ram, the biggest-budget film of all time in Malayalam cinema. Apart from Asif Ali, Level Cross also stars Sharafuddin and Amala Paul in lead roles. It is reported that Asif Ali will be seen in a never-before-seen-before makeover in the film.
Level Cross also has the distinction of being the first Indian film to be shot in Tunisia. Arfaaz has written the story and screenplay of this film. The editor of this film is Deepu Joseph, who edited films like Jellicut, Churuli, Nanpakal Nereth Mayakk. Appu Prabhakar is handling the cinematography.
Fans were enthralled when Level Cross was announced last month, especially after an alluring motion poster depicting the main characters was unveiled.
