On 47th Birthday, Darshan Announces His Next With Tharun Sudhir; Poster Out Now
The film falls under one of the personal favourite genres for the actor.

Darshan Thoogudeepa is one of the most popular actors in the Kannada film industry. The actor has been a part of some of the biggest projects and is quite famous in Karnataka. He is fondly referred to as the Challenging Star by the fans and enjoys a massive fan following. The Challenging Star celebrates his 47th birthday and many of his fans have flooded social media with wishes. Now, it has been found that the actor is all set to collaborate with Kaatera director Tharun Sudhir. As per reports, the film is tentatively titled #D59.

Darshan has announced his forthcoming project and has collaborated once again with Tharun Sudhir after Kaatera. The announcement of the 59th film in the Challenging Star’s career has created a lot of hype among the audience. The yet-to-be-titled film will be produced by Shylaja Nag under the banner of Media House Studio. The producer took to her Instagram and shared the first poster for the film as well. In the poster, the actor can be seen holding an axe as he stands on the handle of a gun. The poster was captioned, “We are beyond thrilled and thrilled to announce #D59, the saga of #SindhooraLakshmana with the blockbuster combination of #ChallengingstarDarshan, #TharunSudhir, #VHarikrishna and #Media House Studio".

As per reports, #D59 is a personal favourite genre for the actor. The film will be a historical drama that sees him play freedom fighter Sindhoora Lakshmana. This was a project that Tharun wanted to do with Darshan earlier but was pushed ahead of schedule at the time. The director-actor duo went for Kaatera first, which turned out to be a success at the box office.

Apart from that, the first glimpse of Darshan’s next, titled Devil, has also been released to fans. The clip offers a peek into the supposedly villainous role of Darshan, who refers to himself as the Devil.

In the clip, Darshan can be seen saying devilish dialogue and shooting people’s heads off. But as the film’s title suggests, Devil: The Hero indicates that the Challenging Star is playing some sort of anti-hero as opposed to a complete villain. The film is being written and directed by Prakash Veer.
