Jo Jung Suk is set to make a comeback to the big screen with Pilot after a 5-year-long hiatus.

South Korean actor Jo Jung Suk is all set to make a grand comeback to the silver screen with his much-awaited film Pilot. Fans are buzzing with excitement since the makers, Lotte Entertainment dropped the first trailer recently. The movie follows the journey of Han Jeong Woo, played by Jung Suk, who unexpectedly loses his job as a pilot. However, his life takes a surprising turn when he completely transforms his identity. Other than Jo Jung Suk, the movie also features Lee Joo-myung, Han Sun-hwa and Shin Seung-ho in key roles. In the trailer, viewers catch a glimpse of Han Jung Woo wearing makeup and a wig to change his personality. He introduces himself as Captain Han Jung Mi, ready to safely take passengers to their destination.

As the trailer progresses, viewers are introduced to Han Jung Woo’s alter ego, Captain Han Jung Mi, who assures passengers of a smooth flight. The teaser wraps up with a hilarious moment as Jung Woo pretends to hand over his phone saying, “Jung Mi, can you take this call?" but he quickly decides to answer the call himself by changing the voice, which leaves his partner shocked.

In addition to his acting career, Jung Suk is gearing up for his debut as a singer in the upcoming Netflix series New Singer Jo Jung Suk. Recently, he filmed a segment of the show at Bluesquare in Hannam-dong, Seoul, in front of a large audience selected through a social media application. Eager fans, unable to contain their excitement for his musical debut, packed every spot of the venue, to show their support for Jung Suk. As of now, the exact release date of the show is undisclosed.

Ahead of the finale of Captivating the King, Jo Jung Suk speaking with GQ said, “The ending is incredibly satisfying. Captivating the King was a work that deeply fascinated me when I read the script, so it was truly enjoyable to participate in the project. Additionally, every time I take part in a historical drama, I find it interesting and enjoyable to be part of creating a bygone era and portraying a character within it. As for the challenges, we shot for a long time and went through all four seasons, and there were moments when it was physically challenging because of the sweltering heat and freezing cold."

Jo Jung Suk is set to make a comeback to the big screen with Pilot after a 5-year-long hiatus, following his last appearance in the 2019 box office hit Exit. Despite his absence from cinema, the actor remained in the spotlight through television series like Hospital Playlist and Captivating the King, as well as his participation in the musical stage play Hedwig and the Angry Inch alongside Yoo Yeon Seok.
