Pooja Entertainment's Profit In FY 2023-24 Stands At Rs 8 Cr; Stock Hits Day's Lowest Trading Limit
According to reports, Vashu and Jackky Bhagnani-led Pooja Entertainment's stocks dropped by about 36% over the last six trading sessions.

Reports of Vashu Bhagnani’s Pooja Entertainment facing Rs 250 crore losses have been making headlines for a long time now. Recently, a few media reports stated that Vashu Bhagnani and Jackky Bhagnani-owned Pooja Entertainment is facing big losses due to a series of flops. A report by Bollywood Hungama also claimed that Vashu sold the seven-story office of Pooja Entertainment to settle a debt of Rs 250 crore. It also revealed that the film producer was using the proceeds from the sale to pay off debts and also reported that the production house had laid off 80 per cent of its staff.

And now, The Economic Times has reported that Pooja Entertainment had revenues of Rs 58.07 crores and a profit of Rs 8 crores in the 2023-24 financial year, up from Rs 46.6 crores in revenue and Rs 2.86 crores in profit the previous year. According to the publication, Pooja Entertainment’s stocks dropped by about 36% over the last six trading sessions. On Monday, they closed at Rs 298.85, a 5% decline, hitting the day’s lowest trading limit.

Amid all this, Jackky Bhagnani revealed that Akshay Kumar dialled him recently to check if the online reports were true. The Bollywood actor asked Bhagnani not to worry and assured him that he would always be with the production house. “Akshay was the first person to call me and say not to worry, and let him know if there was anything to do. He lent his unconditional support. I also got calls from Sunny Deol, Suniel Shetty, and also my old friend David Dhawan. I am really moved by everyone, they are people who stick by you,” Vashu told ANI.

In a statement, he said, “Jackky in a statement said, “Akshay sir met me recently to discuss this matter. Upon learning about this situation, Akshay sir didn’t hesitate to step forward and show his support for the crew. He has insisted that his payments be placed on hold until every single crew member working on our projects receive their full and final payment. We are incredibly grateful for Akshay sir’s understanding and his willingness to stand with us during this time. The movie business hinges on strong relationships and that is the spirit we strive to foster at in the industry.” Says Jackky Bhagnani – On behalf of all producers of the film.”
