After having an eventful fortnight in India—which included getting married to Priyanka Chopra in an extravagant palatial wedding—Nick Jonas left for the US on Wednesday night.
The newlyweds were pictured at the Mumbai airport on Wednesday, with Priyanka seeing off Nick, before he returns to India again for their reception in Mumbai later next week.
Since their high-profile wedding at Jodhpur’s Umaid Bhawan Palace on December 1-2, the two have made several public appearances together, including hosting a reception in Delhi, launching dating app Bumble, and attending Isha Ambani’s sangeet and wedding. They even managed to squeeze in a short vacation in Oman.
Priyanka took to Instagram on Tuesday to share a loved-up photo with Nick from Oman. “Marital bliss they say,” she captioned it.
To celebrate their first week together as a married couple, Nick shared a photo from their Christian wedding on Monday. In the photo, the two—dressed in Ralph Lauren—are cutting their gigantic wedding cake with a sword. “One week ago today ❤️ @priyankachopra,” Nick captioned it.
Nick also posted a video of Priyanka singing along to ‘Santa Claus is Coming to Town.' He captioned it, “Her first time watching Elf.”
On the professional front, the 36-year-old actor will next be seen alongside Farhan Akhtar and Zaira Wasim in Shonali Bose's tentatively film The Sky Is Pink, which she is also co-producing.
Talking about it, Priyanka earlier said, "What struck me (about the film) was that it's a true story... an inspiring look at death."
