Singer-actor Nick Jonas and Adrienne Warren are preparing to star in the upcoming Broadway production of The Last Five Years in the spring of 2025. This musical, written by Jason Robert Brown, will be directed by Whitney White. She has previously worked on Tony-nominated work on Jaja’s African Hair Braiding. The Last Five Years was first staged at the Northlight Theatre in Illinois in 2001, starring Norbert Leo Butz and Lauren Kennedy. It then had an Off-Broadway run at the Minetta Lane Theatre in 2002.
The Last Five Years is the story of two New York residents, Jamie who is an aspiring author, and Cathy who is a budding actress. It narrates the ups and downs of their romantic relationship over five years and at different points in their lives. The exact dates for the show are yet to be announced officially. Taking to Instagram, Nick Jonas officially announced the news and it was met with much love from his fans, brothers and especially wife, Priyanka Chopra. She showed appreciation by dropping a heart and clapping emoticon for him.

As for the actor himself, Nick Jonas is not new to Broadway. Besides his musical projects with the Jonas Brothers, he has also appeared in several Broadway productions in the past. He replaced Daniel Radcliffe in How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying in 2012. As a child, he had reportedly performed in Les Misérables, Beauty and the Beast, and Annie Get Your Gun, informs The Hollywood Reporter.
Meanwhile, actress Adrienne Warren has won a Tony Award for her role as Tina Turner in Tina: The Tina Turner Musical. She was also nominated for a Tony Award for her performance in the 2016 musical Shuffle Along with Audra McDonald. She had reportedly made her Broadway debut in 2012 with Bring It On.
