Richa Chadha has proven time and again that she is one of the strongest females in Bollywood with her on and the off-screen persona. Recently, the actress ventured into the line of production with a Punjabi short film which was appreciated widely, from the film fraternity to various film festivals.
In her upcoming project with Amazon Prime, which is also their maiden India production, she is going to be playing a character of a successful actress who also owns a cricket team. For this particular character, she took inspiration from real life boss ladies like Ellen DeGeneres, Tina Fey, Amy Pohler and Amy Schumer, who have broken cliches to become someone with their own niche. These very women aren't just actors but are also writers, producers, making own content and owning their presence the industry.
When asked about her recent inspirations, Richa she said," I think women have a great capacity to multi-task. I seek out women that have been successful in their respective fields and who encourage other women to get ahead. These inspiring women go beyond what everyone thinks they must do, and break cliches by using all their talents - writing, producing, acting."
