It was indeed a proud moment for the entire team of Indie film 'Masaan' at Cannes Film Festival, as the movie received a five-minute long standing ovation after the screening.
Directed by debutant director Neeraj Ghaywan, the movie stars Sanjay Mishra, Richa Chadda and Vicky Kaushal in lead roles. 'Masaan' in the story of a lower caste boy who falls in love with an upper caste girl in Varanasi. The lovers are caught in a sex scandal and the story unfolds.
Richa Chadha shared a picture post the screening and tweeted, “Got teary at the 5 minute long standing ovation. Thank you everyone. @ghaywan, first thanks to you. “
