Salman Khan Urges People to Vote Ahead of Mumbai Lok Sabha Election Phase 5: 'Don't Trouble Bharat...'
Bollywood superstar Salman Khan recently surprised his fans by announcing his new film 'Sikandar' with director AR Murugadoss.

Ahead of the fifth phase of voting for the Lok Sabha Election 2024 in Mumbai, Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has urged everyone to exercise their right to vote. The actor, who will next be seen in AR Murugadoss’ ‘Sikandar’, took to his official X account to make the request to his 45.6 million followers.

Salman wrote, “I exercise 365 days a year no matter what and now I’m going to exercise my right to vote on the 20th of May no matter what. So do whatever you want to do man, but go and vote and don’t trouble your Bharat Mata… Bharat Mata ki Jai!”

This is not the first time Salman has encouraged the people to vote. In March 2019, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had requested Salman to “motivate” youth to strengthen the country and democracy. Following this, Salman had shared on his social media: “We are a democracy and it is every Indian’s right to vote. I urge every eligible Indian to exercise your right and participate in making the Government.”

On the work front, Salman Khan revealed the title of his upcoming film with AR Murugadoss on the occasion of Eid this year. The actor, who is known for his Eid releases, promised to return to the big screen on Eid 2025. Title Sikandar, the film also features Rashmika Mandanna.

Sikandar will reportedly be shot in Portugal and other European countries apart from some portions in India on a huge budget of Rs 400 crore, making it the most ambitious film of Sajid Nadiadwala, as per Pinkvilla.
