Shah Rukh Khan Calls Bhumi Pednekar's Bhakshak Trailer 'Hard-Hitting': 'Whole Cast Is Outstanding'

Bhumi Pednekar starrer Bhakshak‘s trailer has finally been released. The crime thriller had already created a buzz when the makers released the teaser. Inspired by true events, Netflix’s upcoming crime drama Bhakshak premieres on February 9. The film is directed by Pulkit also stars Sanjay Mishra, Aditya Srivastava, and Sai Tamhankar in pivotal roles. Soon after the trailer was released, Shah Rukh Khan gave it a shoutout on social media.

Taking to the microblogging site X, formerly known as Twitter, Shah Rukh Khan shared the film’s trailer. When the film’s director Pulkit thanked him and called it a dream, Shah Rukh replied, “All the best for the film. It’s such a hard-hitting film…!! And the whole cast is outstanding."

Bhakshak explores the journey of an unwavering woman’s quest to seek justice. Bhumi Pednekar as Vaishali Singh portrays the role of an investigative journalist who wants to bring to light a heinous crime, laying bare the ground reality of crimes against women.

The film follows Vaishali Singh as she uncovers shocking secrets hidden about a girls’ shelter home. The trailer opens with a scene showing a room filled with girls who are abandoned. Sanjay Mishra informs Bhumi Pednekar about the wrong things done to these girls and then she starts to gather information about them. This leads her to know that certain high-profile ministers are involved.
