Sharvari marked her acting debut with Kabir Khan’s web series The Forgotten Army: Azaadi Ke Liye co-starring Sunny Kaushal in 2020. Her maiden big screen outing was Bunty Aur Babli 2 that released a year later. However, her association with the film industry dates back to 2015 when she assisted Luv Ranjan and Sanjay Leela Bhansali on Pyaar Ka Punchnama and Bajirao Mastani, respectively. In the past, Sharvari has also been vocal about the biggies she auditioned for like Amitabh Bachchan-Aamir Khan’s Thugs Of Hindostan and Varun Dhawan-Anushka Sharma’s Sui Dhaaga but couldn’t crack eventually.
Now, in an exclusive chat with News18 Showsha, she reveals that she became an assistant director on the Ranveer Singh, Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Deepika Padukone starrer when she went in to audition for a film that was being produced by the filmmaker. “I was supposed to do a film with Sanjay sir’s production house. I had auditioned for that and had gotten shortlisted,” she recalls. However, things didn’t go as planned and the project was put on the backburner.
On the other hand, Ananya Panday is currently seen in Call Me Bae. She has made her OTT debut and has been getting an overwhelming response.
