Taal is making its return to theatres on September 27. Ahead of the re-release, the makers have organised an interactive screening on September 21. This special event will unite fans and filmmakers, rekindling the enchanting spirit of the film. It offers fans a unique opportunity to engage with the creative minds behind Taal while immersing themselves in its iconic moments and timeless music.
Released in 1999, the blockbuster film features Anil Kapoor, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Akshaye Khanna in key roles. With stellar performances by lead actors and an enchanting soundtrack by AR Rahman, the film continues to mesmerise audiences across generations. Other than the film’s storyline, its unforgettable music became a sensation and continues to win hearts till now. From the soulful tune of ‘Ishq Bina’ to the foot-tapping beats of ‘Ramta Jogi,’ Taal redefined the music industry.
It is worth noting that Taal was later dubbed in Tamil as “Thaalam.” The musical romantic drama clinched numerous awards.
Now, sharing his excitement about the screening, filmmaker Subhash Ghai said, “It would be a great opportunity for me as a filmmaker to meet and interact with my audience. I will be sharing some interesting stories, especially about the making of Taal, which is one of my favourite films too,” as quoted by Filmibeat.
The director added, “With the re-release, I am thrilled that audiences can experience Taal again on the big screen, reliving its magic all over again.”
Producer and Head of Tips Ramesh Taurani also expressed, “Taal was more than just a film. It was a cinematic journey that explored the depths of human emotion. As we celebrate its 25th anniversary with Radio Nasha’s ‘Nasha Premier Nights,’ we are reminded of the brilliance of Subhash Ghai’s direction and the exceptional performances that brought this story to life.”
