Reports indicate that the official title of Thalaivar 171, along with a teaser, will be unveiled on April 22. With Kanagaraj’s previous collaboration with Kamal Haasan in Vikram raking in a global box office collection of Rs 440 crore, expectations are high for this new venture with Rajinikanth. Rajinikanth’s last starring role was in Nelson Dilipkumar’s Jailer, which enjoyed considerable success. Following that, he made a cameo appearance in his daughter Aishwarya Rajinkanth’s directorial venture Laal Salaam, which, despite positive reviews, fell short of box-office expectations.
