Varun Dhawan took to his social media to share a video that introduces his character in Citadel: Honey Bunny. He will be seen playing the role of Priyanka Chopra's father in the series.

Varun Dhawan is gearing up for the release of Raj & DK’s Citadel: Honey Bunny where he will share the screen with Samantha Ruth Prabhu. Ahead of the release of the series on Amazon Prime Video, the actor shared a video that introduced his character – Rahi Gambhir. The introduction video also revealed a major detail that has a connection with Priyanka Chopra’s Nadia from Russo Brothers’ Citadel.

Taking to his Instagram, Varun Dhawan shared a video which introduced his character. He captioned it as Rahi Gambhir. The video opens with a shot of Priyanka Chopra’s Nadia talking to her daughter. She tells her, “Your grandfather is the toughest person I’ve ever met.” As the video progresses, the audience is introduced to Rahi Gambhir breaking bones and diving into action head on. He has been labelled as a ‘terrorist’ and a ‘criminal’ but Nadia is seen defending him. She states, “He is my father.”

The post has gone viral and fans cannot believe that Dhawan will be playing Chopra’s dad in the series. Fans took to the comments to express how excited they were for this action series. Reacting to the post, one fan said, “Varun is the father of Priyanka in the series?” A second fan wrote, “He’s father Nadia’s as Priyanka Chopra on-screen dad and daughter.” A third fan mentioned, “SEATED FOR RAHI GAMBHIR.” In an earlier interview with News18 Showsha, Dhawan mentioned that Chopra loved the series and had lovely things to say about it.

Raj & DK’s Citadel: Honey Bunny is a prequel to Russo Brothers’ Citadel. The series will also star Kay Kay Menon, Simran Bagga, Sikandar Kher, and Saqib Saleem in key roles. It will stream on Amazon Prime Video from November 7 onwards.
