Vijay Devarakonda To Team Up With Rahul Sankrityan For A Historical Drama

Actor Vijay Deverakonda celebrated his 35th birthday yesterday and the actor’s fans have been treated with some exciting news from his upcoming films. His lineup also includes the second collaboration with Taxiwaala fame Rahul Sankrityan. The official announcement of Vijay Deverakonda’s collaboration with director Rahul Sankrityan was made on Thursday.

This epic historical drama initially titled VD14 is bankrolled by Mythri Movie Makers, who also released an announcement poster with interesting details about the film. The filmmakers revealed a bit of information about the film that got fans excited.

Rahul Sankrityan is known for thrillers and his films have made a splash at the box office starting with his debut film The End to Vijay Deverakonda’s Taxiwaala and Nani’s Shyam Singha Roy. Expectations have been building up for VD14 after the announcement confirming the genre.

Judging by the poster design, VD14 is set in the 18th century and the story takes place between 1854 and 1878. The film will be released across India in five languages and is captioned, “The Legend of the Cursed Land.” The poster also features a stone with a king riding a horse.

Meanwhile, Vijay Deverakonda has signed another film under the SVC banner of Dil Raju after his last film The Family Star. Director Ravi Kiran Kola of Kiran Abbavaram’s Raaja Vaaru Raani Gaaru fame will direct the film. The film poster was also released as SVC’s 59th film on Vijay Devarakonda’s birthday.

From the look of things, VD13 is going to be a gory mass-action film. The caption also reads, “The blood on my hands is not his death, but my rebirth. The leading lady in the film is not yet finalised.

Currently, Vijay Deverakonda is in the shooting of an action thriller, tentatively titled VD12, which is being written and directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri. The production and post-production teams of the film are working together to complete the shoot as soon as possible. Unfortunately, there was no further update from the team on the occasion. However, they did reveal a hint about the film’s shooting location in Visakhapatnam.
