Ravi Kishan is a prominent name in the film industry, as well as in politics. He is considered as a versatile talent. Last year, the actor made news for shocking revelations in an interview. He said that he missed out on some big opportunities because of his exorbitant demands. Hailing from Jaunpur, Uttar Pradesh, Ravi Kishan has given his all in achieving what he has today. He has struggled a lot to reach where he is today. Yet, Ravi Kishan has self-admittedly made certain mistakes during the peak of his career. One of them cost him a role in a cult classic film. Ravi Kishan was offered a role in Anurag Kashyap’s Gangs of Wasseypur. He lost out on it because of his ego, he revealed in the interview. Ravi Kishan kept some unreasonable and bizarre conditions in front of the producers.
In an interview with India TV, Ravi was asked about the claims that he bathed in milk and slept on a bed with rose petals. To which he replied, “Yes, I used to take a bath with milk and sleep on rose petals. I felt that, as an actor, all of this was very important.” He states people made him watch films of legends like Al Pacino and Robert De Niro, and wanted him to be like them as an actor, which is why he did those things.
Talking about Gangs of Wasseypur, Ravi Kishan said that he was not taken in the film because the makers asked who will bring 25 litres of milk and bathe him? So, instead they left him. He continued, “And I suffered a loss. I have left all of that behind now. Mumbai is a mayanagri, it can make you crazy in no time.” According to him, he became a star early in his career, and hence lost his mind.
Years later, when he was on The Kapil Sharma Show, Ravi Kishan talked about regretting not being a part of Gangs of Wasseypur. He spoke saying that he was approached for the film, but Anurag had this “unflattering image” of the actor in his mind. He says, “I have a big-time regret for this as I was very much willing to be part of such a powerful movie.”
