Why have the morning shows of Vijay's 'Puli' cancelled on the day of its release?

Chennai: Tamil star Vijay's 'Puli' which was set to hit the theatres on 1st October, has run into trouble. The morning shows of the film, which also features Sridevi in a negative role, have been cancelled.

Although no specific reason has been given for the cancellation, many are suspicious as it comes just a day after IT officials raided Vijay's house. Directed by Chimbu Devan, 'Puli' sees Sridevi making a comeback to the silver screen after her 2012 hit 'English Vinglish'.

The film has Vijay playing a double role and also features Shruti Haasan and Hansika Motwane. An ambitious fantasy-adventure film, 'Puli' is being touted as one of the big releases this festive season.
