Abhishek Bachchan Celebrates 17 Years Of Guru, Amitabh Bachchan Calls 'It Immaculate And Unbeatable'

On Friday, Abhishek Bachchan took to his Instagram handle to revisit his hit film Guru. Released in 2007, the drama film, which was rumoured to be a biopic of the industrial tycoon Dhirubhai Ambani, turned out to be a massive hit at the box office. Apart from Abhishek, the film also starred Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Vidya Balan, Mithun Chakraborty, and R. Madhavan in pivotal roles.

On his social media handle, Abhishek shared a montage video consisting of iconic scenes and dialogue from his 2007 blockbuster. He also captioned, “#17YearsOfGuru.” In the video, he also expressed that “Guru is and will forever remain close to my heart.”

While fans flooded the comments section, applauding the film, Abhishek’s father, Amitabh, also took to the comments section to praise him. He wrote, “The best ever… immaculate and unbeatable ❤️❤️❤️.”

Another comment read, “There Can Never Be Another Gurukant Desai, than you . Congratulations @bachchan . We all loved the Mani Ratnam Masterpiece ❤️.” In fact, another fan demanded a sequel. The comment read, “We want Guru Part 2 a back story about how gurukant desai built their empire. I think this movie deserves sequel (part 2).”

Abhishek Bachchan has garnered immense admiration for his recent projects, capturing the audience’s hearts with his gripping performances. Meanwhile, on the work front, he was last seen in R Balki’s Ghoomer. Starring Saiyami Kher, the movie revolves around a female cricketer’s determination to play for the country despite an unforeseen accident.

He will next be seen in the remake of the 2019 Tamil thriller Oththa Seruppu, Size 7. Additionally, the actor will feature in a biopic on legendary lyricist Sahir Ludhianvi, sharing the screen with Deepika Padukone. He is also set to appear in Prabhu Deva’s upcoming project, titled Lefty.
