Emraan Hashmi Addresses Koffee With Karan Controversy: ‘I Just Want To Win The Hamper’
Emraan Hashmi had made headlines for labelling Aishwarya Rai as plastic and made several controversial comments on Koffee With Karan 4.

the actor is garnering praise from audiences and critics for his remarkable performance in the recent blockbuster, Tiger 3, starring Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif. Now, in a recent Zoom interview, Emraan opened up about the aftermath of his rapid fire round on Karan Johar’s show and revealed how he ended up making enemies in the industry. At that time, Emraan made headlines for labelling Aishwarya Rai as plastic and made several controversial comments about various celebrities. However, he later clarified his statements to ease the controversy.

When the interviewer addressed the incident, the Murder actor explained, “You end up making many enemies. It’s too much to handle. If I go on Koffee with Karan again I’ll make a mess of things again. I think I’ll probably be worse in the rapid fire round than I was before. It’s an opinion and I don’t have anything against these people, I just want to win the hamper. It just becomes a competitive thing and then you say these weird things."

For those not aware, during the rapid fire round in Koffee with Karan season 4, Emraan Hashmi was asked by the host to name an actor or actress associated with the word plastic. Without hesitation, Emraan quickly mentioned Aishwarya Rai’s name. Additionally, he called Mallika Sherawat as the worst kisser despite starring in a number of films with the actress. On the other hand, Emraan also made a controversial remark about Shraddha Kapoor’s physique and suggested that she should eat more.

For the same reason, the actor revealed that he never attends any film screening. He said, “I don’t go to film screenings. I’ve been to very few film screenings, very handful of film screenings because I don’t know, you’re obliged to come out and praise and I can’t. It’s not that I go in to hate a film, what if I don’t (like it). I can’t lie about it, it shows in my face."

On the work front, after Tiger 3, Emraan Hashmi is set to play the antagonist in Pawan Kalyan’s Telugu film OG, along with The Last Ride, Ground Zero, Sab First Class and Father’s Day. Additionally, Emraan will also be seen in a web series titled, Showtime.
