Bollywood actress Genelia Deshmukh sparked pregnancy rumours on Saturday night after she arrived with her actor-husband Riteish Deshmukh for an event. The actress opted for a short purple dress, but what grabbed everyone’s attention was when Genelia held her belly while posing for the paparazzi on the red carpet.
As soon as the video of her appearance went viral on Instagram, netizens began wondering if Genelia was expecting her third baby. One user wrote, “Genelia may be pregnant.” Another one said, “She is expecting the third kid.” “Good news on the way,” a third user said.
However, Riteish has now put a full stop to all the speculations by reacting to the rumours. Sharing a screenshot of a post speculating Genelia’s pregnancy, Riteish wrote on his Instagram Story: “I wouldn’t mind having 2-3 more, but unfortunately, this is untrue.”
Genelia Deshmukh is often subjected to questions about her absence from films post her marriage to Riteish Deshmukh. She has often had to clarify that the decision to stop acting was solely hers and husband Riteish did not stop her from working in films, as many rumours claimed. In a recent interview too, the actress reiterated the same and made it clear that she was staying away from films because of her personal choice.
“I am sure. People say what they want to say but the truth of the matter is that I decided. Till date… like people say ‘Why don’t you do so much more work?’ I don’t feel I can do so much work but I feel I still enjoy that whole part of being with my kids,” Genelia told Bollywood Bubble.
