Multi-time World Cup winners Australia will take on Afghanistan in their upcoming clash at the tournament in India. Both teams had poor starts to their campaign in India but were able to stitch a series of victories to get back into the competition. Australia began their campaign with a humiliating loss to the hosts before losing their second successive game to South Africa by 134 runs. Since then Australia have managed to secure five consecutive victories, beating teams like Pakistan, Sri Lanka and New Zealand on the way. They were able to take down defending champions England by 34 runs in their last World Cup game. Australian bowlers showed up on the day helping the five-time champs dismiss the entire English side to seal the win by 33 runs. They will now be looking to add Afghanistan to their list of victims.
Australia and Afghanistan will clash at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on November 7. Afghanistan have also been on a comeback tour, winning four of their last five games. Their latest victory came against a returning Netherlands who are featuring in the competition for the first time since 2011. The Afghans were able to take them down by seven wickets, continuing their fight for a semi-final spot in the tournament.

The Aussies have managed to win on all of those occasions leaving Afghanistan still in search of their first victory against the cricket giants.
