After Deepika Padukone-Ranveer Singh and Sunny Deol-Bobby Deol, it is Sara Ali Khan and Ananya Panday’s turn to grace the couch on Koffee with Karan 8, Karan Johar’s popular chat show. The ace filmmaker recently released the upcoming episode’s promo, giving an insight into the spicy banter they will indulge in. This has left fans eagerly waiting for the episode.
According to Pinkvilla, Sara Ali Khan will finally address why she often ditches designer clothes and accessories and opts for simple looks, especially at the airport when all her contemporaries are always decked up in labels.
The report mentioned Sara as saying, “It is not like I don’t have designer bags and shoes. I don’t believe in wearing designer clothes because I look fine in Zara. I feel I have the confidence to carry it off.”
Many netizens believe that Sara would do it to come across as relatable. However, the actress denied this claim. She said, “I don’t do it to come across as relatable but maybe what I need to be aware of is that I am an actor, I have a good amount of followers on Instagram. It’s important because I am putting myself out there. So, perceptions are key.”
“What I should be careful of is that, I shouldn’t come across as lazy, I shouldn’t come across as unkempt, so maybe I needn’t have oil in my hair, but I don’t think I will ever say ‘Oh, I need a blow dry I am going to the airport.’ I find that ridiculous and I am not going to apologise for that either,” Sara added.
Koffee with Karan 8 can be streamed on Disney + Hotstar, with new episodes airing every Thursday. Karan Johar revealed in a promo that Alia Bhatt, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Kajol, Rani Mukerji, Ajay Devgn and Rohit Shetty will also be appearing on the show.
