Varun Dhawan 'Had A Cuppa Coffee With An Old Friend' And We Can't Wait To Hear More

Varun Dhawan recently enjoyed a cup of coffee with his longtime friend Siddharth Malhotra, marking a reunion almost a decade after their initial collaboration in the movie Student of the Year. This reunion is set to be showcased on the latest episode of Koffee With Karan season 8. Both actors had also appeared together on the much-loved chat show’s Season 4 along with Alia Bhatt, before the trio’s debut film. In the photographs that Varun has now shared on his Instagram account, two actors can be seen sharing laughter as well as posing in front of a reflective, golden backdrop.

Varun sported a stylish black casual outfit with a leather jacket, while Siddharth looked charming in a blue blazer, white t-shirt, and jeans.

While the duo’s photograph is evidently from the sets of the ongoing season of Koffee With Karan, it is not the only sneak peek of what’s brewed on the coffee couch between the dynamic duo. Prior to this, On Monday, director and KWK host Karan Johar treated his fans to a snippet from the episode.

The video was shared alongside a caption that read, “THE BOYS ARE BACK!!! All suave, all madness & love…stay tuned because they are stirring up a storm!!”

It began with Karan Johar calling his guests “Kens without their Barbies.” In the recently released promo, Varun Dhawan can be seen playfully accusing Karan of breaking home just after Karan reveals the two actors having “steamy affairs” on the sets of My Name Is Khan.

Karan then recalled how Varun was taking ‘pictures with these girls’ during the My Name Is Khan (2010) shoot in Los Angeles, US. To which Varun said pointing at Sidharth, “Even he took pictures.” Sidharth then said, “He (Varun) was selling Shah Rukh Khan’s pictures to the girls.”

The actors then turned to Karan and said they will now ask him some questions as well. “Three best friends of yours from the industry?” Sidharth asked Karan. The filmmaker was blank and the three broke into a laugh.

Well, we have to wait till November 23, for Episode 5 of the ongoing season 8th to know what more Karan’s dynamic students have to offer to us this time.

On the professional front, Varun Dhawan’s upcoming film, tentatively titled, VD18, is slated to release on May 31, 2024. The film is being directed by Kalees and is co-produced by Murad Khetani & Priya Atlee.

Sidharth Malhotra will be reportedly seen in Yodha next. The Hindi language action thriller film is being directed by Sagar Ambre and Pushkar Ojha. Produced by Karan Johar and Suniel Shetty under Dharma Productions, it also stars Disha Patani and Raashii Khanna. Yodha is scheduled for theatrical release, tentatively, on 15 March 2024.

As for host Karan Johar, he kick-started season 8 of Koffee With Karan with a bang. The filmmaker welcomed Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh in the first episode. Next up, we saw the Deol brothers—Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol. The two talked about their success, failures as well as their family bond, and a lot more. They were followed by Sara Ali Khan-Ananya Panday and Kareena Kapoor-Alia Bhatt.
